Our People

Our Board of Directors ensure that our Co-op is run fairly, responsibly and for the long term, while staying true to its values. Whilst the Board doesn’t manage the day-to-day running of our business, it supports us by helping to set the long term direction of our Society, listening to members, supporting our Chief Executive, all whilst ensuring transparency and performance.

First elected in 1999, Bob (as he’s known to many) had worked more than 40 years for the Society before retiring. He now supports our Board of Directors as Chair.

Sheree is a former solicitor, Head of a university Law School and County Councillor. She is now an independent legal education consultant.

Alan had worked more than 25 years for the Society before retiring and joining our Board of Directors.

Annette has been employed by the Society for over 16 years and is currently store manager at our Dordon Co-op food store.

Steve started his employment as a trainee electrician in 1987 and has remained with the Society throughout his career, his current position being that of Society Facilities Manager.

Mark has 31 years of experience in Policing. Prior to this as a Manager with Granada Motorway Services and an Operations Manager with a vehicle seating manufacturer in commercial environments.

First Elected 2024. Simon has been a member of Tamworth Co-op for many years and currently a volunteer archiving the Society’s historical records. Looking to bring a wide range of local knowledge as well as experience in the food industry to the deliberations of the Board.
