Tamworth Co-operative Society is celebrating the joy of giving with its 12 Days of Christmas campaign, supporting a range of local charities across the trading area.

Throughout December, colleagues from the Society’s food stores, funeral homes, Head Office team, and Board of Directors visited local charities to shine a spotlight on the incredible work happening on our doorstep. Each team member nominated charities close to their hearts, helping to ensure a wide variety of causes were recognised and supported.

As part of the initiative, the Society donated £500 each to the following organisations, all of which make a real difference to local people and communities:

The Phoenix Group

The Hope Project

Glascote Meeting Rooms

Polesworth Group Homes Limited

Tamworth Wellbeing and Cancer Support

Simon’s Heroes

Better Way Recovery

Polesworth Scout Group (Beavers)

Rosliston Under 5’s Pre-School

Charlie’s Wings

In addition, the Society made a special donation of £10,000 to St Giles Hospice in recognition of the exceptional care, dignity and compassion they provide to people in the final stages of life — as well as the vital support offered to their families.

“It’s been an absolute pleasure to meet and celebrate these valued charities,” said a spokesperson for Tamworth Co-op. “We’re proud to support the incredible work they do, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with them throughout 2026.”

The 12 Days of Christmas campaign highlights the Society’s ongoing commitment to its Community Dividend Fund and to making a positive impact in the areas it serves.
